Your excuses are, that it is caused by prisoner on prisoner deaths, deaths by natural causes, or accidents, but never in the history of the penitentiary system has Panama ever been honest and publicly transparent about telling the truth over what really did happen to an inmate after his death. A typical example of this was Mark Bodden’s death; his blood count was never released to the courts in the Cayman Islands despite numerous requests because Panama refused to give this information. Liquor convoys happen on a daily basis due to the corrupt police under Varela’s command, below are just some captures that took places in 2018 showing that this is a serious problem, over Varela’s 5 years these conveys have increased, not decreased.

President Varela you blame all the smuggling on the visitors visiting their loved ones, it is impossible for visitors to carry a pallet of liquor inside them. Please Mr President, smell the coffee and stop using the general public as the scapegoat, when in fact, it is your officers committing the crimes, who go totally unpunished.
No data has ever been published or released showing just how many of your officers, under your watch Mr President, are incarcerated for crimes against the public faith since you took office, Panamahumanrights.com would be happy to receive this information that would exonerate yourself.
