This is the newest state of the art prison that allows all these items in undetected despite the US embassy donating multi-million dollar body scanners, maybe the police or the guards have accidentally forgot to pug the scanners into the wall socket.
A fishing hook, sharp weapons, 36 cell phones, 18 hearing aids, electronic heaters, handcuff keys, tools and appliances, among other items, were seized during the latest search carried out by the National Police at the La Mega Joya prison.
"These findings will be used in the administrative investigations of several officials within this penal center," the police said in a statement.
